We've designed a reusable water filter cartridge that's ergonomic and easy to assemble. An extra rubber seal prevents leakage of unfiltered water into the jug. We've reinforced the filtration with a stainless steel fine mesh, and an optional extra layer of carbon felt will be available soon.

What is Returnabl Water Filter Cartridge?

Returnabl Water Filter Cartridge is a refillable filter replacement compatible to fit all jugs, kettles and coffee machines that fit Brita and Maxtra+ cartridges

How much does it cost?

The starter kit costs £20 (one-time purchase), and refills are £3 per month, sold in packs of 3. Pre-orders come with a 40% discount, reducing the starter kit price to just £12.

When is it available?

We’ve started the manufacturing process, which takes about 2 weeks, followed by approximately 4 weeks for shipping. We estimate that the first products will be delivered to UK customers in February.

While this may seem like a niche product, over 100 million plastic cartridges end up in landfills every year, and the number keeps rising. Our refillable cartridge fits almost all Brita Jugs including Brita Maxtra, Maxtra+ & Perfect Fit, Marella Jug, Brita Kettle, Maxtra Pro, Aqua Optima, Tesco Jugs, AmazonBasics branded Jugs, Wilko etc. Also suitable four use in Morphy Richards and Russell Hobbs Filter Kettles

What does it filters?

Our 5-step water filtration technology efficiently filters tap water to reduce impurities including microplastics, chlorine, limescale, herbicides, pesticides, lead and heavy metals.Returnabl water filters feature activated carbon that absorbs chlorine, and filters out organic impurities. A special ion exchange reduces heavy metals and prevents limescale build up.

Do you have certification?

Yes Our refill granules have been rigorously tested and certified to meet international standards. Our Coconut Shell activated Carbon is certified to meet the EN12915, AWWA B604-96, and NSF 61 standards. Additionally, our IoN exchange resin is certified by WQA to the NSF/ANSI-61 STANDARD, and approved by the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme.

How does the recycling program works?

We offer a complete recycling program that lets you return your used filter media for recycling, making our Returnabl Water Filter Cartridge fully circular and eliminating 99% of waste. We've partnered with a leading company in London to make this process as effortless as possible for you. This makes not only are our cartridges refillable, but you can also post back the used filter media to us for recycling.
